This RED HIVE set of sixty-nine cards designed for pre-readers who are learning to recognize letters in print and by sound. It includes five garden rhymes and thirty-five letter sounds assoicated with botanical and ecological images that emphasize phonetic sounds. 
 
HIVE is a multi-dimensional, thematic memory and matching game with supplemental discussion cards designed to develop environmental literacy of PK and Kindergarten students. They supplement DIGS curricular units and can be used in classrooms, libraries, as a part of after-school programming, or for individual children at home.
 
The cards can be used as a memory and matching game, as a part of scavenger hunts, and part of group activities. The set comes with an easy to open and close and durable box for storage.
