This YELLOW HIVE set of seventy-eight cards designed for early readers who are learning to recognize words in print and understand their meaning as they relate to the science of ecology and botany. It includes five discussion questions and thirty-six words assoicated ecological and botanical concepts. They can be used as apart of literacy or STEM instruction. 
 
HIVE is a multi-dimensional, thematic memory and matching game with supplemental discussion cards designed to develop environmental literacy of students. They supplement DIGS curricular units and can be used in classrooms, libraries, as a part of after-school programming, or for individual children at home.
 
The cards can be used as a memory and matching game, as a part of scavenger hunts, and part of group activities. The set comes with an easy to open and close and durable box for storage.
